Hey guys! So it is been a while since I posted my last recipe. But life has been crazy this whole last month. I did my first triathlon on Memorial Weekend, started my masters and my mom came to visit. So, I didn’t have a lot of time to create new recipes.
Anyway, after a couple of weeks, we are finally back on a routine so hopefully, I can find some time while Adrian naps to prepare new recipes and share them with you.
How to Make Protein Balls
In the meantime check out these delicious Chocolate Almond Butter Balls. They make a great pre or post workout snack. Plus they are so easy to prepare! All you need to do is place all your ingredients on a medium bowl and mix. Once everything is combined used your hands to shape the mixture into balls and place in the fridge to set. Enjoy!
Chocolate Almond Protein Balls
- 1/2 cup almond butter
- 1/4 cup oats finely ground
- 1 scoop vegan chocolate powder
- 1/4 cup date syrup
- 2 tbsp almond milk
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Place the almond butter, oats, date syrup and salt into a bowl and mix to combine. Add the protein powder and mix. Use your hands to work the mixture until it resembles a cookie dough consistency. If the mixture is to dry add a splash of almond milk. Shape the mixture into balls and place in the fridge to set. Enjoy.
